KEYNOTE SPEAKER
We are excited to announce that Dr. Elliot Long will be joining us as the keynote speaker for the PERC 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting!
Dr. Long is an associate professor at the University of Melbourne, a pediatric emergency physician at The Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, and Co-Group Lead of Emergency Research at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. He is an NHMRC Emerging Leadership Fellow and leads an international research program focused on improving the recognition and treatment of pediatric sepsis. He leads the SENTINEL and SENTINEL International sepsis research programs and is Chief Investigator of PASSPORT, an adaptive platform trial designed to generate and rapidly translate evidence to improve outcomes for children with sepsis.
His research spans epidemiology, clinical trials, precision medicine, and global research collaboration. Originally from Calgary, Dr. Long has called Australia home for more than 20 years. We look forward to welcoming him back to Canada to share his experience and strengthen connections across pediatric emergency research networks.
