Dr. Vikram Sabhaney is a pediatric emergency physician at BC Children’s Hospital and
a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency
Medicine at the University of British Columbia. He is also a Clinician Investigator with
the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. Dr. Sabhaney previously served on the
Pediatric Emergency Research Canada (PERC) executive committee from 2018 to
2020 and rejoined in 2025. In addition to serving on the PERC executive committee, Dr.
Sabhaney also serves on the executive committee of the Academic Section of the
Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians, and is the Research Director for
Pediatric Emergency Medicine (START Program, University of British Columbia). Dr.
Sabhaney has diverse research interests which primarily focus on infectious
emergencies and effective pain management for children. His research is supported by
the BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute.
