Dr. Gravel is a pediatric emergency physician and clinical researcher with 50% of his time dedicated to research. After completing his fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Université de Montréal, he earned a master's degree in epidemiology and biostatistics from McGill University in 2005. Since then, he has worked in the emergency department at CHU Sainte-Justine. In 2019, he was promoted to Clinical Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Université de Montréal.

Currently, Dr. Gravel serves as the Director of Research in the emergency department and has published over 180 peer-reviewed scientific articles. He has mentored numerous students, residents, fellows, and junior faculty, earning the Amy Plint Mentorship Award in 2022. His research primarily focuses on the management of pain, trauma, and acute illnesses in children within emergency settings.
