Update - October 2020
After careful consideration of the current situation with the second wave of the pandemic upon us, the PERC executive has come to the difficult but prudent decision to not hold an in-person PERC 2021 meeting. We know how valuable and rewarding it is to see everyone each year. The PERC meeting has facilitated the advancement of moving pediatric research forward, sharing results, advancing the next generation of researchers, and expanding our social and professional network.
While we will not have the opportunity to meet in-person, we are still committed to ensuring PERC has a virtual conference.
In the coming weeks, we will be circulating more details about the format of the 2021 Virtual PERC conference. We will prioritize that trainees and staff have the opportunity to present their work, discuss new research ideas, and share results from PERC-endorsed projects.
Our current plan is to use the same dates that were held in our calendars (Sunday, January 31st – Thursday, February 4th 2021).
We will be circulating a brief survey in the coming weeks to get further input on the virtual conference knowing that some adaptations will need to be considered. Every year we operate our conference at-cost and we will do the same with the virtual conference. While there will not likely be the normal fees that are typically associated to cover the costs of an in-person meeting, we encourage everyone to renew their annual PERC membership, which is a nominal fee.
Thank you for your understanding.
The PERC Executive
